How to set up apple watch with another iphone

To set up and use a new Apple Watch, you need an iPhone 6s or later with iOS 15 or later. Learn how to identify your iPhone model and how to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.

Wait for the message “Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch” to appear on your iPhone and tap Continue.  If you don’t see this message, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap All Watches, then tap Pair New Apple Watch.

If this is your first Apple Watch, tap Set Up as New Apple Watch. Otherwise, tap Restore from Backup. If prompted, update your Apple Watch to the latest version of watchOS.

Your Apple Watch may require a software update before you can set it up. If you see a message on your iPhone that a software update is available, tap Update Now and wait for the update process to complete.

The Apple Watch shows you the settings it shares with the iPhone. If you turned on features such as Find, Location, Wi-Fi Calling, and Diagnostics on your iPhone, those options are automatically enabled on your Apple Watch.
